The One Direction infection hit Sydney over the weekend, with more than 200 fans gathering to perform a flash mob dance routine.
Directioners from all over the state flocked to Circular Quay on Saturday to perform the choreographed dance routine in honour of Brit boy band One Direction.
"It all started in Novemeber last year, when I was talking to my friend about One Direction," organiser Tahnee Cook, 16, told us. "We've been their biggest fans from the start and wanted to show them how much we love them.
"We posted a petition on Twitter to see if other fans would be interested in doing it with us and we got so many responses!
"We then made an event page with all the details and posted when we'd be holding practice sessions."
Tahnee and friends Emily Carmona and Mary Chbib organised four practice sessions over the school holidays, with the final practice held in Sydney's Botanical Gardens.
"We all met in the Botanical Gardens to have a final practice," Tahnee said. "It was pouring rain and there were 200 of us squashed in a tiny gazebo.
"I was shocked about the number of girls that showed up to support."
An unofficial taping of the flash mob went viral overnight, with the video attracting more than 30,000 views on YouTube.
