Thought of the week:
There is no right way to do a wrong thing.
Dear Dolly InnerGirl,
Dear DOLLY InnerGirl,
My crush moved away to a different country a few months ago. I really missed him so I asked my BFF to ask her boyfriend if he would email my crush and see if he liked me. He said that he did, and asked if I liked him too. I'm so confused and I don't know where to go from here. Do long distance relationships work?

Answer:
Hello Liz,
Being apart from someone that you really care about has its challenges. The connection you have with this person is important to you, right? How you deal with this is very much up to you.
Let's look at the whole distance thing first. You don’t get to be with him in person but tools like Skype, text messaging or emails will allow you speak to him. One of the good things about distance relationships is that you have no choice but to communicate!
You get to know each other through your words. Heaps of people that rush into hooking up with each other miss this opportunity that you have. They soon find out that the person they thought they liked is not that interesting after all. Why? Because they didn’t take the time to get to know them first.
Whatever the future holds for both of you, the fact you have experienced getting to know someone well at a distance, is a skill that you can benefit from in any situation. From school to the work place, people skills give you an awesome advantage!
