Thought of the week:
All you have to do is believe in yourself. Because when you believe in yourself, amazing things happen.
Dear Dolly InnerGirl,
Dear DOLLY InnerGirl,
I’m almost 18 and have a situation with my best friend and one of my close guy friends. I’ve been friends with this guy for a few years now and same with my best girlfriend.
He is literally the greatest guy I have ever met, problem is I found out late last year that my best friend likes him and he likes her back.
I’ve had a boyfriend for the past 2 years but we’ve never been fully stable and I’ve always had a soft spot for this other guy. I don’t know if he still likes my best friend and sometimes he'll do and say things to me that’ll make me think he might like me.
The worst part is, this great guy knows I have a boyfriend and I can’t tell my best friend or my boyfriend because I will hurt them both – what should I do?!

Answer:
Hi A,
There is a story of the girl who put her hand into a jar to get some biscuits.
Her hand got stuck in the jar, and she was like, so embarrassed that she had to walk around with this jar attached to her hand. Everyone made suggestions, but nothing worked until a little kid suggested she let go of the biscuits in the jar, and wow her hand came out easily.
So you may need to make a choice about what you need to let go of to get out of this stuck state. Is it the boyfriend or the guy friend?
Telling the truth has a wonderful way of resolving stuck stuff, and people actually respond better than you think.
