After five years of shrouded secrecy, the mysterious blogger at the centre of hit TV show Gossip Girl was revealed during the landmark 100th episode.

During the highly anticipated show, which aired in the US earlier this week, the identity of the mysterious blogger was revealed as — wait for it — Georgina Sparks!
Since the show debuted five years ago, the vicious blogger's identity had never been revealed, until the final moments of the landmark episode, where the camera panned to Georgina, typing away at her computer, and signing off "Xoxo, Gossip Girl."

The self-destructive, vindictive loner of the Upper East Side (played by Michelle Trachtenberg) — who's ruined countless weddings, birthdays, friendships and romances on the show — seemed a logical choice to be the girl behind the blog.
During the episode, Georgina attempted to sabotage Blair's perfect royal wedding by secretly taping her confessing that she was still in love with ex-boyfriend Chuck Bass.
Despite going through with their vows, a furious Prince Louis later told Blair that their marriage will be a 'loveless one'.
Aww no, poor B!
No word yet as to how long Georgina will stick around, but she is reportedly causing a stir in the fifth season of the show.
"It's always amazing coming back to Gossip Girl. We're a family. Even if Georgina always tries to break it up," Michelle told TVLine.com.
"I can't say how many episodes [I'm doing]. But there will definitely be a healthy dose of Ms Sparks, and to be a part of the 100th episode, a big milestone, is very special."
According to the show's producer Josh Safran, Georgina's storyline in the show's fifth season is "unlike anything that she has done before on the show."
"Of course, she still is Georgina and all that implies, it's just taking that in a new direction," he said.
"What we love about Georgina is that she can't help but be evil," Michelle added. "Even when she pretends to be good."
