Twilight: The TV series?

Monday, January 16, 2012

Are you sitting down, Twi-hards? Good. Because we've got some news which hints it may not be the end for Edward and Bella after all.

When interviewed by the Los Angeles Times, Lions Gate bossman Jon Feltheimer revealed that, while The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 may be the fourth and final novel in the series authored by Stephanie Meyer, the story could still continue.

And breathe.

"It's hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn't have ongoing value," he continued. "It's an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration."

So basically he wants the franchise to continue? "The simple answer is 'Boy I hope so'."

And could that mean a Twilight TV series considering that Lionsgate already does TV work? "I would certainly hope so," he said.

Okay, so we know it's too early to tell what's going to happen, but it's not too early for you tell us what you think.

Would you be excited for Twilight the TV series? Even if it might have to be done without K-Stew, R-Pattz and Taylor?

that would be great i am the bigeist twi-hard ever!!!! i would be a little disapointed if it dident have the acual stars in it but it would be great to have the tv sireis!!!!!!!
I Defiantly think it would be a fantastic idea, because it continues on with what will happen after the movies, if thats what they plan on doing, The twilight fans dont want the Saga to come to an end so i think its fantastic idea to keep them going. I support the idea 100% GO GET EM!
This is only a great idea if they use the original actors to play the parts or don't bother it would be ***.
NO way you cant make a tv series without having the main characters in it it would be plain weird I love the twilight saga and couldnt imagin it with drifferent characters in it. who would repleace Taylor and Robert their both hot! I just dont see any one replacing any of them and Kristen is totally gourgess an a amazing actress they all. I dont see it happeneing dnt rulin it
yes- because it would be awesome to see it as a tv series because i think it shouldnt stop! no- because if they dont have the main characters in it they wont have as many veiwers as they would want and then it would get canceled. BUT I WOULD STILL LOVE TO SEE IT CONTINUE WITH A STORY ABOUT JACOB AND RENESMEE .
I agree with 'anon', I suppose the franchise could only go uphill from the end of the movies. They've got nothing to lose, there are a million raibd fangirls who'd love to see the movie turned into a tv series (heaven knows why), and the storyline could not get anyworse, so really there isn't much of a risk (why do I get the feeling I'm going to eat my words?). The actors and actresses don't bother me, I actually like Kristin's acting in everything EXCEPT Twilight, I think the movies ruined her credibility...She was amazing in the Runaways and Panic Room. It really isn't her fault that Bella has no personality. How a story about a Mary Sue managed to get so big is beyond me, and speaking as a 16 year old, one of the major year groups that Twlight targets, I'd want to see a TV series, even if it's only because I want to sit down laugh at it with my friends. Who knows, maybe we'll all get a surprise and it might actually be good.
I have been a Twi-hard waaay before time it self existed. ok maybe not that long... The movies are alright. When i look back i feel twilight wasn't done as great as it could have been, the other movies though have been done really well. i'm not bagging out the director for Twilight, i'm just saying it was a bit of a let down for me. If they think having a tv series would keep it going i'm afraid it might ruin it. ruin the already characters we have played by R. Patz K. Stew and hotty T. Lautner, along with the ones in our heads, created when we read the books. You also risk having the plot destroyed. It will be a nightmare. I"m sorry but i would like to leave Edward, Bella and Jacob, along with all the other characters inside the books and movies.
No, good gods, no! Stephanie Meyer has already ruined most of the female population with her books and subsequent movies and now you're making a TELEVISION SHOW?! Please.... we don't need to fill the media with more of this drivel! Just... don't.....
my world would end if that happened! They hav already tortured us ENOUGH with four dumb movies! A t.v. series would make me want to start digging my own grave! Twilight is horrible enough as it is! please don't torture the whole of humanity!
I guess it wouldn't deteriorate it if it's already at the point where it can't get any worse.
